Across the Street

This picture represents the simplicity of my neighborhood. I look at this picture and although it clearly has not audio, a overwhelming feeling of quietness and calm comes to me. This photo incorporates a lot of elements of my neighborhood.

Shirt Hung

This is a photo of a shirt hanging from a tree. From first glance this picture may appear to be a bit on the depressing, solemn side, but when you really look at it, the tone becomes a bit more refreshing. To me it represents the coming of winter, with the faded background and dark sky.

Fire Hydrant

When it's warm outside, the children in my neighborhood like to play with the water from the fire hydrants. The top view really illustrates the geometric shape of the hydrant.

Graffiti

Bushwick is know for it's graffiti. I took this opportunity to capture this particular display of the craft. The contrast of the white ink and rusty brown wall really brings the picture together.

Madison St.

Madison St. is my street. There's always so much combustion at this intersection, I caught the perfect moment where there was little going on. The classic feeling of this photo is a perfect representation of the street itself.

Shadowed Church

The first thing I see when I get off the train is this beautifully tiered church. It catches the shadow of it's surrounding buildings perfectly. My Brooklyn neighborhood is known for it's vintage-looking monuments.
